Description
Mudra explores symbolic hand gestures as metaphors for inner transformation. Rather than illustrating their traditional meanings, I use each gesture as a starting point to investigate the relationship between the body and the natural world. Through botanical forms, landscapes, and symbolic imagery, the paintings create visual narratives where nature becomes a reflection of inner experience.
Working in mixed media with pencil, ink, technical pens, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic, I develop each composition through an intuitive dialogue between drawing and painting. Lines, textures, and color evolve organically, balancing careful observation with imagination and allowing each gesture to unfold into a living ecosystem.
Hands become more than anatomical forms; they act as symbols of connection, resilience, and change. Intertwined with plants, mountains, water, and flowers, they suggest that our inner landscape is inseparable from the rhythms of the natural world. Together, these works invite viewers to reflect on the relationship between body, nature, and transformation, proposing that growth emerges through awareness, balance, and connection.
